Stone & Sky

Amid shifting weather and open sky, stone remains. This series traces the presence of built form across the British landscape. Ancient churches, standing stones, and ruins that endure beneath cloud, rain and light.

Stone & Sky is a study in stillness and permanence. A quiet conversation between material and moment.

Stone & Sky I

Chapter One: Sacred Ground

[Coming Soon]

The first chapter explores sacred ground, turning toward early Christian sites, hidden chapels, and stone structures that speak of devotion and endurance.

Captured beneath hallowed light, these works explore the quiet resonance of place. How certain buildings settle into the land, holding space without need or demand.

Stone & Sky II – Endurance in Ash

Chapter Two: Endurance in Ash

Remnants of Labour and Loss

Among collapsed shafts and fire-darkened walls, this chapter traces the landscape of work long ended. Mine towers, chimneys, and engine houses. Shaped by labour, claimed by weather.

Here, the built form is neither ruin nor monument, but something altogether different: vessels of memory. These structures no longer serve, yet they remain. Recollections not of what was made, but of what was endured.

Captured in moments between storm and stillness, Endurance in Ash frames industry not as function, but as presence. These places resist forgetting. They are folded into the land.
